a talk on martial law

Last December 4, 2009 GMA implemented Proclamation No. 1959 which put the Maguindanao Province in a state of Martial Law. My stand on this is to oppose the proclaimed law, I might be a youth not knowing most of the laws of my beloved country but then as I have known Sec. 18, Art. VII, 1987 of Philippine Constitution stated that in order to implement martial law there should be presence of INVASION and REBELLION. Now let me ask you, were there any rebellious activity? The guns that were recovered by the Armed Forces are owned by the Ampatuan Family. The effort of the current government was useless because within the place there are people who are greedy of power, fame and money.

Martial Law is never the answer and solution of the more than 60 people killed in Maguindanao and even the Extra Judicial Killings all over the country. What we need is to know and implement the JUSTICE and PEACE. Justice for Maguindanao massacre victims, Justice for all Extra Judicial Killings and StOP Rural and Urban Militarization.

suicidal rampage

It's been a while since I last posted something in this little site of mine. I've been very busy with things and as I was surfing the net today, a desire to make my little fingers to do crickety-crackety with my keyboard and encode something that are stimulating my freakin' neurons.

And the one that keeps me thinking this moment is about suicide.

Just like the pandemic Influenza A(H1N1) suicide are widely known and many tried it for different reasons. For reasons that maybe, just maybe triggered their violent mind. What made me say this? Not to break my code of ethics I won't mention any names, This patient in a hospital I know had committed suicide because he was not able to be in the honor roll. Another, I know of is my Uncle he, himself committed suicide because his wife left him. And according to my assessment one of my patient(a school age child) had a wound, when asked how did he acquire this wound he said that he used pencil to make himself bleed because it's what's his classmates were doing.

Imagine a school age child being influenced by this suicidal rampage? I guess we have to do something on this. At this moment of life they are in their stage of imitation, the olders as their role model.

first day high

The first day of school is one the child's very important day in the whole schooling experience. First day of school is a very exciting event for it is the day you meet you new teacher, the day you can use your new pen, the day where you can meet new friends and even enemies. Some parents discourage their children to not to go to school on the first day but mind you base from my experience being always present in the first day of school is exciting. If I'm going to be mother someday I'd definitely encourage my child to be present and make friend as many as she can so that everyday of her school days he/she'll be looking forward to which may lead to a better future for her:)

June 12, is one the Philippines historic date. The 14th of June is the day our forefathers reclaim what is rightfully ours. We've been through a lot from the spaniards,to Japanese, to Americans and Alas! Freedom. We have experienced a lot of calamities which led to the death of many but here we are standing strong. Even if some of our brothers are among the very cause of our death, we continue to live and go strong for we believe in ourselves. And I will end this post saying "Ako mismo ang tatapos sa aking mga sinimulan"(I,myself will finish what I had started.)

a new era

My country has been captured by the Spaniards for more than 300 years thus influencing us in every single way. So just like the Spaniards, my countrymen and I myself loves grand furniture, we are very distinct in every furniture from the different shape and carvings. The very common furniture in every house is made up of wood and even bamboo, made from the very creative minds of the carpenters to satisfy each and every ones pleasure. In my mind set having a house of my own as influenced not by the Spaniards but my parents and past generations, I would like to have a a Rustic Furniture (which I think are made up of woods of every variety) that will reflect my personality. That would be furniture that are very playful (not literally), in the sense that it should not be common and boring, it will bring joy to the eyes. I guess we should play with the color, to give the rustic furniture a new era.
